Bruschetta of chopped tomato and white tuna
Although technically there are a few weeks to enter summer, the month of June begins and we are already in vacation mode. For this reason, today we “travel” to Italy, with Marta’s recipe (@coneme_y_calla): a delicious “bruschetta” of chopped tomato and white tuna. An easy and simple idea for a great summer dinner!
Bruschetta is an original dish of Italian cuisine, one of their most popular and traditional antipasti or appetizers. Its name comes from the verb “bruscare” in the Roman dialect, in Italian “abbrustolire”, which means, “to toast”. Mainly, the traditional bruschetta is prepared in a special type of oven called brustolina (although it can also be made in traditional ovens) making slices of toasted bread, with garlic, on the grill to brown it. When serving, they are sprinkled with olive oil, salt and ground paprika. On this Italian toasted bread, you can put all kinds of ingredients, but the most common is the tomato cut very small.
We do not tell you more and we leave you with Marta’s version, which combines diced tomato with our tuna. A traditionally Mediterranean recipe with a Cantabrian touch.
