Sweet and sour razor appetizer
Time goes fast and it’s already November. Therefore, it is time to start publishing the recipes of our Christmas contest. Therefore, we do it with an appetizer with one of our most special novelties: Razor clams from the Rías Gallegas, that belong to the range of Colección products, a limited edition that we have presented this fall.
Ana (@nutri_pine) brings us an appetizer of “bittersweet” razor clams combining this product with fruits such as kiwi or lemon with a surprising result. Take note of all the ingredients to be able to make it at home.
Ingredients
- Canned razor clams - one can
- Kiwi - 1
- Orange - 1
- Almonds - half a glass
- Extra virgin olive oil - a splash
- Water - a splash
- Brown sugar - one tablespoon
- Quince cream
Instructions
- First, grind the almonds with a grinder, and toast them in the pan with a little extra virgin olive oil.
- Caramelize them by adding 1 tablespoon of brown sugar and a little water. Stir it over low heat for 10 minutes.
- Next, chop and peel the kiwi and the orange into thin slices.
- Use the ground almond as a base. Put orange slices on it, and kiwi slices surrounding the razor clams.
- Finally, decorate with cream or homemade quince jam.
A surprising appetizer. Thank you Ana!
