One more year, from Conservas Serrats, we want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a 2022 full of joys. We hope that these parties, although they are still somewhat different, are full of good times.
So that, in addition to being happy, they are healthy, the Dra. Arantza López-Ocaña leaves us a series of tips to be able to take care of ourselves without giving up enjoyment and proposes several healthy menus for Christmas.
Tips to take care of ourselves at Christmas
- Not coming to Christmas meals hungry, as this can cause to eat more than “you should” and without thinking. That is, it is advisable to do the rest of the meals of the day taking care of ourselves a little, but without restricting them too much, to better reach the special meals.
- Always Start to eat vegetables (In the ideas of healthy meals that I give you below, you will see that there are the most delicious meals).
- Take into account the cooking methods: grilled, baked, steam… Avoid as much as possible that fried and / or battered foods predominate in our meals.
- Be careful with the amount of bread (whole grain) that you eat.
- Moderate alcohol consumption. The only healthy consumption of alcohol is zero, so it is best to drink water; but, in the event that one wants to drink, let it be wine (better red) and try to spend the meal with one or two glasses. Avoid mixes.
- For dessert, choose the compote or fruit skewer.
- You can eat Christmas sweets, but taking care of the quantity, so we advise you to put a piece of each nougat, a polvorón, a marzipan, etc. on the plate and remove or move the tray away from those products . It is very easy to continue eating if you have it close to you.
- As always, the rest of the days follow the good eating guidelines.
- You should not miss regular physical activity and try to get a good night’s sleep.
