Anchovies and cheese balls
This week we propose a very successful appetizer, to surprise your guests or simply enjoy a special snack this weekend: some crispy anchovy and cheese balls. MCarmen’s recipe (Recetas Casa Carmen) is very easy to make and the result is delicious.
Ingredients
- For six balls
- Cream cheese - 100 grams
- Cantabrian anchovies - 4-6 fillets
- Tomato jam - 3 teaspoons
- Diced almonds - 50 grams
Instructions
- Cut the Cantabrian anchovy fillets into small pieces and mix them with the cream cheese.
- Make the balls with your hands and put half a teaspoon of tomato jam inside each one.
- Roll them in the small square pieces of almond, to give it a crunchy touch.
- Put a little jam on top of each ball.
