Peppers stuffed with tuna and prawns
Stuffed peppers are a common proposal in our recipe contest. ¡And they are so versatile that we never get bored! This week we propose a scrumptious stuffed with tuna and prawns. The recipe is from Silvia, Mi dulce tentación. Indeed, once you try this recipe, it will be impossible to avoid temptation to eat a few. Bon Appetite!
Ingredients
- Piquillo peppers - 10 or 12 (according to your size)
- White Tuna in Olive oil - one tin
- Prawns - 5
- Spring onion - 1/2
- Olive oil - 4 tablespoons
- Flour - one heaped tablespoon
- Milk - 255 g (hot) + 4 tablespoons
- Dried oregano
- Salt
Instructions
- Peel the prawns and remove the black string.
- Cut them into small pieces and fry gently in a tablespoon of olive oil. Reserve.
- Add the rest of the oil and fry gently the finely chopped spring onion.
- Add the flour and fry gently well; add the hot milk and let it thicken.
- Finally, add the shredded tuna and the cut prawns. Join everything well and salt to taste.
- Fill (leave about three tablespoons of the filling unused) the peppers well drained.
- Crush the reserved filling with the mixer and add 3 or 4 tablespoons of milk to lighten the mixture.
- Put the peppers on the plate and cover them with the sauce.
- Sprinkle a little dried oregano.
